FASSGEM - News
CURRENT NEWS 04/12/06
The recent FASSGEM conference in Bath was a great success very high quality speakers on a wide range of topics, some politics and, of course, that subject which cant be ignored, THE NEW CONTRACT. The social programme began with our tour of the Roman Baths and continued in style later in the week with a dinner in the Guildhall. Congratulations and thanks to Andrew Newton, our outgoing chairman, for organising the conference Andrews report to the AGM will be on the website shortly, along with the minutes, once theyve been checked. Juan Ballesteros has now assumed the chairmanship and we welcome him to this post.
Two meeting dates for 2024 the Spring Meeting is planned for Friday 18th May, and is to be held in Churchill House, London.
The FASSGEM Conference will be in Norwich. Planned date is 20 23rd November.
With regard to the proposed contract: go to the INFORMATION FROM THE BMA page of this website and read the article just placed there. This includes dates for the roadshows which will be held around the country in January take note of these dates and make sure you get time off to attend. Look on the BMA website for more information as it becomes available. If you know anyone who has still not registered with the BMA, please persuade them to register now no-one should miss out on the opportunity to vote for their future when the ballot is held (remember, registering can be done without being a BMA member)
