Welcome to the website of the British Association for Emergency Medicine (BAEM).

May I take this opportunity of apologising to members that the Association has recently been unable to operate with its customary level of efficiency.  The past few months have been particularly difficult for all those involved in the smooth running of our Association, primarily due to long-term staff sickness. This, combined with the increased workload from our very successful annual conference, meant that there has been a build up of administrative work.  Please rest assured that the situation is now gradually returning to normal and I would ask you all to be as patient as possible with us whilst we prioritise and tackle the administrative backlog and other outstanding issues.

My grateful thanks go to Paul Gillard and Nick Bentliff for all their hard work with the website. Thanks also to Officers of the Association and to Julie Bloomfield.

This website includes a vast amount of information about the Association and allows free access to a number of statement papers, administrative and clinical, produced by the Association in recent years.

The website is constantly being updated; please feel free to let us have your comments/suggestions.
